Champagne (Peppino Di Capri Song)
"Champagne" is a 1973 Italian song composed by Mimmo Di Francia, Depsa and Sergio Iodice and performed by Peppino di Capri. The song was composed by Di Francia during a taxi trip in Naples. Di Francia's friend di Capri initially recorded a demo with the sole purpose of getting Charles Aznavour and Domenico Modugno to listen to it and possibly record it, but he eventually fell in love with it and asked the composers to be the one to launch the song. Di Capri presented the song at '' Canzonissima'' in December 1973. The song initially achieved only tepid success, placing behind Gigliola Cinquetti, Mino Reitano, Vianella and Orietta Berti in the competition ranking and faling to enter the top ten in the hit parade, but gradually became a classic, in particular making its way into the typical repertoire of nightclubs and piano bars. Artists who covered the song include Andrea Bocelli, Roberto Carlos, Manolo Otero, José Luis Rodríguez José Luis Rodríguez may refer t ...

Fanpage
A fansite, fan site, fan blog or fan page is a website created and maintained by a fan or devotee about a celebrity, thing, or particular cultural phenomenon. Fansites may offer specialized information on the subject (e.g., episode listings, biographies, storyline plots), pictures taken from various sources, the latest news related to their subject, media downloads, links to other, similar fansites, and the chance to talk to other fans via discussion boards. They often take the form of a blog, highlighting the latest news regarding the fansite subject. They often include galleries of photos or videos of the subject and are often "affiliates" with other fansites. ''Fanlistings'' are another common type of unofficial fansite, though they are much simpler than general fansites, and are designed simply to list fans of a certain subject who have chosen to submit their names (and sometimes links to their home pages). Many do not contain much information on the subject at all, aside fr ...

Gue Pequeno
The gue is an extinct type of two-stringed bowed lyre or zither from the Shetland Isles. The instrument was described in 1809 by Arthur Edmondston in ''View of the Ancient and Present State of the Zetland Islands'':"Before violins were introduced, the musicians performed on an instrument called a gue, which appears to have had some similarity to the violin, but had only two strings of horse hair, and was played upon in the same manner as a violoncello."The exact details of the gue are unclear, but it possibly resembled extinct bowed lyres such as the Norwegian '' giga'', or the extant Swedish and Estonian '' talharpa'' or Finnish '' jouhikko''. However, other ethnomusicologists believe the gue more resembled the Icelandic fiðla, a two-stringed bowed zither. Peter Cooke notes the prevalence of the tautirut bowed zither among the Inuit peoples in areas of Canada influenced by Orkney and Shetland sailors, as possible evidence that the Inuit bowed zither is based on a Shetland m ...
