Chamber of Computer Engineers of Turkey ( tr, Bilgisayar Mühendisleri Odası, abbreviated BMO) was founded on 2 June 2012. Formerly, the computer engineers in Turkey were the members of Chamber of Electrical Engineers of Turkey. But, on 9 March 2011 computer engineers decided to form their own chamber. The regulatory board announced that each year about 6,500 new CS engineers (including related undergraduate studies) graduate from the universities. The Chamber of Electrical Engineers of Turkey ( tr, Elektrik Mühendisleri Odası) was established in 1954. It is one of the 23 members of the confederation named Union of chambers of Turkish engineers and architects. Coverage The chamber used to include electronics, telecommunication, computer and biomedical engineers as well as electrical engineers. However as of 2012, computer engineers issued from the chamber. The Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects ( tr, Türk Mühendis ve Mimar Odaları Birliği, TMMOB for short) is a confederation of all chambers of architects and engineers in Turkey.
