Chamara Repiyallage
Chamara Repiyallage also known as Chamara Dharmawardana (born 10 May 1992) is a Sri Lankan judoka. He is also attached with Sri Lanka Air Force. Career Chamara represented Sri Lanka at the 2014 Commonwealth Games which was his maiden appearance at the Commonwealth Games. He competed in the men's 73kg event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and reached round of 16 before being eliminated by Jake Bensted. He represented Sri Lanka at the 2016 Summer Olympics which also marked his debut Olympic appearance and competed in the men's 73 kg event, in which he was eliminated in the third round by Lasha Shavdatuashvili. He clinched a silver medal in the 73kg event at the 2016 South Asian Games. The International Judo Federation (IJF) was founded in July 1951. The IJF was originally composed of judo federations from Europe and Argentina. Countries from four continents were affiliated over the next ten years. Today the IJF has 200 National Federations on all continents. There are over 20 million people around the globe who practice judo, according to the IJF. Milka Gehani Elpitiya Badalge Dona also known as Milka Gehani de Silva (born 24 April 2003) is a Sri Lankan artistic gymnast. She earned a continental quota spot to the 2020 Summer Olympics after the cancellation of the 2021 Asian Championships. She was the first Sri Lankan gymnast across all disciplines to compete in the Olympics. She also represented Sri Lanka at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics and the 2019 and 2022 World Championships. 2020 Summer Olympics Parade Of Nations
During the Parade of Nations within the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics opening ceremony, which took place on 23 July 2021, athletes and officials from each participating team entered the Olympic Stadium preceded by their flag and placard bearer. Each flag bearer will have been chosen either by the team's National Olympic Committee or by the athletes themselves. For the first time, each team had the option to allow two flag bearers, one male and one female, in an effort to promote gender equality. These Olympics were postponed from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
