Châlus
Châlus (; oc, Chasluç) is a commune in the Haute-Vienne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in western France. History Richard I, King of England was besieging Châlus in 1199 when Pierre Basile wounded him with a crossbow bolt; Richard died of the wound. In 1275-1280, Géraud de Maumont built a second castle, Châlus Maulmont, in front of Châlus Chabrol. Chateau Châlus Maulmont was damaged extensively during the French Revolution, and was dismantled in 1790, then used as a prison. The tower of Châlus Maulmont collapsed on March 20, 1994. By 1745, the first map, in the 1/8628th, of Châlus is established to appear in the atlas of Trudaine for the majority of Limoges, with the portion of road at the level of La-Ribière going to Châlus of the Big road from Limoges to Périgueux and with the portion of road reaching the majority of Périgord. During the First World War, in 1917, American troops stationed in Chalus and maintained contacts with the population. ...

Chalus, Iran
Chalus ( fa, چالوس; romanized: Chālūs, Chaloos, Chalousse, Chalous, and Čâlus) is a city in Mazandaran Province in north of Iran. About It serves as the county seat for Chalus County. According to the 2006 census, it has a population of 44,618, in 12,791 families. The people residing in Chalus speak Mazanderani language. In the west of Chalus, the dialect of Kalarestaqi is spoken and in the east of Chalus, the dialect of Kojuri. Mazandarani people have a background in Tabari ethnicity and speak Mazandarni. Their origin goes back to Tapuri people. So their land was called Tapuria, the land of Tapuris. Tapuris were made to migrate to the south coast of the Caspian Sea during the Achaemenid dynasty. The native people of Sari, shahi, babol, Amol, Nowshahr, Chalus, and Tonekabon are Mazandarani people and speak the Mazandarani language. Chalus County
Chalus County ( fa, شهرستان چالوس) is in Mazandaran province, Iran. The capital of the county is the city of Chalus. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 119,559 in 33,193 households. The following census in 2011 counted 122,736 people in 37,756 households. At the 2016 census, the county's population was 116,542 in 39,105 households, by which time Kelardasht Rural District and the city of Kelardasht had been separated from the county to form Kelardasht County. The warm, humid climate of Chalus was formerly considered unhealthy, and the bulk of the population of Chalus, as of all other towns in this region, used to migrate in summer to the summer pastures on the slopes around Delir and in the Kelardasht basin, one of the most popular and longest-settled districts in the region.
