Chalerm Sawan 58 Bridge
The Chaloem Sawan 58 Bridge (Thai: สะพานเฉลิมสวรรค์ ๕๘) was a bridge crossing the northern end of Khlong Khu Mueang Doem ( th, คลองคูเมืองเดิม)), or old moat, in Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok. The bridge, built in the axis of Phra Athit Road (Thai: ถนนพระอาทิตย์), was opened on 23 October 1912 by King Vajiravudh (Rama VI), two years after his father's death, King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). Last structure to be built of the Chaloem Bridges Series, which numbered seventeen, it "''was dedicated to King Rama V'' ''by King Rama VI'' ''on his father's 58th birthday''". Phan Phiphop Lila Bridge ( th, สะพานผ่านพิภพลีลา, , ; 'King's Cross Bridge') is a bridge across Khlong Khu Mueang Doem (), or old moat, in Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok. The bridge connects Thanon Ratchadamnoen Nai (Inner Ratchadamnoen Road) with Thanon Ratchadamnoen Klang (Central Ratchadamnoen Road). Following the construction of Makkhawan Rangsan Bridge (; 'Bridge by the God Indra') in 1809, the construction of Phan Phiphop Lila Bridge began in 1902 at the command of King Chulalongkorn who desired to have an elegant bridge connected with the newly built Thanon Ratchadamnoen Nai. Construction was completed in 1906. King Chulalongkorn presided over the opening ceremony on 15 November 1906, at which time the name "Phan Phiphop Lila" was also declared. The bridge spans Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem (Phadung Krung Kasem canal) on Ratchadamnoen avenue (section outer Ratchadamnoen) on the border of Bang Khun Phrom sub-district, Phra Nakhon district and Wat Sommanat sub-district, Pom Prap Sattru Phai district with Dusit sub-district, Dusit district. Chang Rong Si Bridge ( th, สะพานช้างโรงสี, , ) is a bridge and monument in the Rattanakosin Island area of Phra Nakhon District, the historic centre of Bangkok. The bridge spans Khlong Khu Mueang Doem, the old city moat, and is locate behind the Ministry of Defense and at the front corner of the Ministry of Interior. It signifies the beginning of Bamrung Mueang Road as it continues eastward from Kanlayana Maitri Road. Atsadang Road meets the bridge's eastern foot at the eponymous Saphan Chang Rong Si Intersection, while Rachini Road runs alongside the canal on the opposite side. The bridge was originally built for elephants that returned from war and was located near a rice mill, hence came the name "Saphan Chang Rong Si", which literally means "elephants' bridge at rice mill".
