Chalaronne
The Chalaronne () is a long river in the Ain department in eastern France. Its source is at Lapeyrouse, in the Dombes. It flows generally northwest. It is a left tributary of the Saône, into which it flows between Saint-Didier-sur-Chalaronne and Thoissey. Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne
Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne (, literally ''Châtillon on Chalaronne'') is a commune in the Ain department in eastern France. History The town takes its name from a castle built around 1000 AD. L'Abergement-Clémenciat
L'Abergement-Clémenciat (; frp, L’Abèrgement-Cllèmenciê) is a commune in the department of Ain and the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in eastern Metropolitan France. The commune was established in 1857 by combining the two parishes of Abergement and Clémenciat. Geography L'Abergement-Clémenciat lies on the border between Bresse and Dombes at an altitude of 206 to 272 meters. The commune sits on an area of 1,596 hectares. Dombes
The Dombes (; Arpitan: Domba) is an area in eastern France, once an independent municipality, formerly part of the province of Burgundy, and now a district comprised in the department of Ain, and bounded on the west by the Saône River, on the south by the Rhône, on the east by the Ain and on the north by the district of Bresse. Topography The region forms an undulating plateau with a slight slope towards the north-west, the higher ground bordering the Ain and the Rhône attaining an average height of about . The Dombes is characterized by an impervious surface consisting of boulder clay and other relics of glacial action. Romans () is a commune in the Ain department in eastern France. Geography The village is located between Bresse and the Dombes. The river Renon flows through the commune from southeast to northwest.
