Bengali Hindus
Bengali Hindus ( bn, বাঙ্গালী হিন্দু/বাঙালি হিন্দু, translit=Bāṅgālī Hindu/Bāṅāli Hindu) are an ethnoreligious population who make up the majority in the Indian states of West Bengal, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jharkhand, and Assam's Barak Valley region. Barun Bicky Chakraborty (28 August 1943 – 26 August 2022) was an Indian-born Swedish businessman. He was the president and founder of Elite Hotels of Sweden and The Bishop's Arms. He was counted as one of the richest men in Scandinavia. Biography Chakraborty came to Sweden from Calcutta, India in 1966 to study Sociology at the University of Stockholm. He saw that student dormitories were empty over the summer and began pushing the dorm Domus as a discount hotel to rent out those who were located near Stureplan in Stockholm. Chakraborty managed to acquire these properties from the student association in private hands and they became due plate in his hotel empire. Keshab Chakravarty (Keshab Chakravarty) was an Indian freedom fighter and one of the youth involved in the Kakori conspiracy. Early life Keshab Chakravarthy was a student at Calcutta Medical College and a close ally of Sham Sundar Chakravarthy, who was an active member of Anushilan Samiti. Freedom struggle and Kakori Train Robbery Keshab was a prominent Indian revolutionary belonging to Hindustan Republican Association (HRA, became the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association or HSRA in 1928) that was created to carry out revolutionary activities against the British Empire in India. Keshab was a part of a group of young freedom fighters, along with Chandrashekhar Azad, Ashfaqullah Khan and Ram Prasad Bismil. Professor Janardan Chakravarti (1901-1987) was a renowned scholar in Vaishnav literature and a celebrated professor of Bengali. Ghanaram Chakrabarty
Ghanaram Chakrabarty ( bn, ঘনরাম চক্রবর্তী; c. 1669–?) was a Bengali poet of the Middle Ages and the greatest contributor to the Dharmamangalkavya tradition of mediaeval Bengali literature. He was greeted by his guru as ''Kabiratna'' ("The Jewel of the Poets"). His work, ''Anadi Mangal'' ( bn, অনাদিমঙ্গল), also known as ''Sri Dharma Sangeet'', was probably composed in 1711. Chakrabarty was born to Gourikanta Chakrabarty and Sita Devi at Krishnapur kukura village on Damodar River in modern-day Purba Bardhaman district of the Indian state of Paschimbanga (West Bengal). He was sent to a ''pathshala'' (traditional village primary school in Bengal) at Rampur. Later he was patronised by Kirtichandra, the Maharaja of Bardhaman. Dhirendra Kishore Chakravarti (1902after 1985) was an Indian geologist and palaentologist, who worked at Banaras Hindu University in the Geological Museum (now part of the Institute of Science). In 1934, he was the first Indian to describe a species of dinosaur, ''Brachypodosaurus gravis'' (now considered dubious). Byomkes Chakrabarti (also spelled Byomkesh Chakraborty or Byomkesh Chakrabarty) (1923–1981) was a Bengali research worker on ethnic languages. He was also a educationist and a poet. His major contribution to linguistics was in finding out some basic relationship between Santali and the Bengali language. He showed how the Bengali language has unique characteristics, absent in other Indian languages, under the influence of Santali.
