Chakavak (plane)
The Chakavak (ultralight training-reconnaissance plane) ( fa, هواپیمای آموزشی-شناسایی چکاوک) is an Iran, Iranian ultralight training-reconnaissance plane which is able to fly at an altitude of 14000 feet above sea-level for approximately four and a half hours with a speed of 280 kilometers (per hour). Chakavak aircraft possesses 2 seats and an engine. The aircraft weighs 500 kg during flight and 750 kg during takeoff. This plane was designed by a domestic knowledge-based company, and was joined the Iranian Navy’s aviation fleet in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas, in Hormozgan province on December 03, 2019. Mashregh News ( fa, مشرقنیوز, ) is a non-governmental news website in Iran. It has been described as "close to the security and intelligence organizations" but till now there have been no clear documents to prove claims. It is based in Tehran. Mashregh News often breaks stories of international interest. In 2010, Mashregh News announced the 19-1/2 year prison sentence given to dissident Canadian-Iranian blogger Hossein Derakhshan. According to Mashregh News, Derakhshan was "convicted of cooperating with enemy states, making propaganda against the Islamic system of government, promoting small anti-revolutionary groups, managing obscene web sites and insulting Islamic sanctities". Bandar Abbas or Bandar-e ‘Abbās ( fa, , , ), is a port city and capital of Hormozgān Province on the southern coast of Iran, on the Persian Gulf.
