Chail is a constituency of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly covering the city of Chail in the Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, India. Chail is one of five assembly constituencies in the Kaushambi Lok Sabha constituency. Since 2008, this assembly constituency is numbered 253 amongst 403 constituencies. Pooja Pal
Pooja Pal is an Indian politician from the Samajwadi Party. She is the wife of erstwhile Allahabad West MLA Raju Pal who was gunned down in broad daylight after defeating Mohammad Ashraf in the 2004 elections for the seat. Subsequently, Mohammad Ashraf, who was named as the prime accused in the murder became the MLA. However, in the 2007 Uttar Pradesh state assembly elections, Ashraf was defeated by Pooja Pal. Pooja Pal has also filed a request for a CBI investigation into the murder of Raju Pal. Pooja Pal was elected on Samajwadi Party ticket from Chail in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. Kaushambi District
Kaushambi district is a district in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. Manjhanpur is the district headquarters. The district was carved from Allahabad district on 4 April 1997. Manauri bajar connects Allahabad and Kaushambi districts by railway over a bridge on SH-95. Manjhanpur is south-west of Allahabad on the north bank of the Yamuna river, about from the city. It is surrounded by Chitrakoot district on the south, Pratapgarh district on the north, Allahabad district on the east and Fatehpur district on the west. Kaushambi is part of Allahabad division. The nearest railway station, in Bharwari, connects with Delhi, Allahabad, Kolkata, Gaya and Kanpur. 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
Legislative Assembly elections were held in Uttar Pradesh from 10 February to 7 March 2022 in seven phases to elect all 403 members for the 18th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The votes were counted and the results were declared on 10 March 2022. Apna Dal (Sonelal) is an Indian political party active in the Uttar Pradesh. The party finds its support base mainly in the Kurmi community in the region of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. History The Apna Dal (Sonelal) is a breakaway party of Apna Dal which was founded in 1995 by Dr. Sone Lal Patel, a politician belonging to the Kurmi caste. Apna Dal (Sonelal) founded by Jawahar Lal Patel who was also founding member of Apna Dal and had the backing of Anupriya Patel. After winning the election to parliament seat from Mirzapur, Anupriya Patel resigned her state assembly seat and therefore a by-election from Rohaniya became necessary.
