Chad Oxendine
Chad Oxendine (born June 10, 1981) is an American baseball coach and former catcher who is the currently the associate head baseball coach of the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. He previously was the head coach of the Longwood Lancers. He played college baseball at Coastal Carolina for head coach Gary Gilmore from 2001 to 2004. Playing career Oxendine was a catcher at Coastal Carolina from 2001 to 2004, where he was a co-captain his junior and senior seasons, as well as a second-team All-Big South Conference player as a senior. He signed with the Chicago White Sox after college, spending one season with the Bristol White Sox of the Appalachian League before turning to coaching. Coaching career Oxendine began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant at UNC Wilmington and later Alabama. Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Baseball
The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers baseball program has been the university's most consistent program in terms of success. Head Coach Gary Gilmore (903–464-1 at CCU, 1,156-566-3 overall) has led the Chanticleers to 16 NCAA Regional appearances and three Super Regional appearances since being hired in 1996. The program has received #1 regional seeds on five occasions (2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2018) and won 50+ games in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2016. In addition, the Chanticleers hosted NCAA Regionals in 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2018. The program hosted a Super Regional in 2010 and won the 2016 College World Series. Kevin Schnall
Kevin Schnall (born January 30, 1977) is an American baseball coach who is currently the head baseball coach at Coastal Carolina University. Playing career Schnall played Catcher for the Chanticleers from 1995 to 1999. He was the first player in program history to earn All-American honors as he made 2nd Team All-American from the NCBWA in 1999. He was drafted in the 25th round of the 1999 MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds. He would play two seasons in Cincinnati's farm system.
