Chacao, Venezuela
Chacao is one of the five political and administrative subdivisions of the city of Caracas, Venezuela. The other four are Baruta, El Hatillo, Libertador and Sucre. This legal entity is known as the Caracas Metropolitan District. Chacao is also one of the 21 municipalities that make up the State of Miranda, Venezuela. Geography Chacao occupies the mid-eastern portion of the Caracas Valley, north of the Guaire River, bordering the other urban municipalities to the east, south and west, and the Avila National Park to the north. Economy Chacao, along with Baruta and Los Salias, is one of the communities with lowest poverty rates in Venezuela, with a poverty rate of only 4.67% according to the 2011 census. Altamira is a neighborhood located in the Chacao municipality of Caracas, Venezuela. Campo Alegre is a residential neighborhood located in the Chacao municipality of Caracas, Venezuela. This district holds the hoteEmbassy Suites by Hilton and the most exclusive party room of the city, the "Quinta Esmeralda", meeting point of the Venezuelan upper-class families. Centro San Ignacio
Centro San Ignacio is a Venezuelan shopping mall and office complex which opened in September 1998. It won recognition for Latin American contemporary architecture with the Mies van der Rohe Award that year. The mall is in La Castellana in the Chacao area of Caracas. It was built on athletic fields next to San Ignacio Jesuit College from early 1993 to late 1998, and is managed by the ''Fondo de Valores Inmobiliarios''. Design The Centro San Ignacio complex was designed by Carlos Gomez De Llarena and Moisés Benacerraf. Los Palos Grandes
Los Palos Grandes is a residential, tourist and financial district located in the Chacao Municipality in east Caracas, served by the Caracas Metro through the Miranda station of line 1.
