Jean-Philip Chabot (born March 31, 1988) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who is currently playing with the Anglet Hormadi Élite of the FFHG Division 1, the second tier level of France. Undrafted, Chabot played major junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Moncton Wildcats and the Gatineau Olympiques. In his successful junior career he Captained the Olympiques to the QMJHL Championships in the 2007–08 season. He had established himself professionally playing with the Denver Cutthroats in the CHL since the 2012–13 season. James Chabot Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. Formerly Athalmer Beach Provincial Park, it is located in Invermere at the northeast end of Windermere Lake in the Columbia Valley region of the East Kootenay. Anthony Chabot Regional Park is a regional park in Oakland, Alameda County, California in the United States. It is part of the East Bay Regional Park District system, and covers in the San Leandro Hills adjacent to Oakland, San Leandro and Castro Valley. Popular activities include hiking, cycling and horseback riding. A gun range operated by the Chabot Gun Club was shut down in 2016, following complaints about pollution. The terrain of the park is often steep, consisting of grasslands, chaparral, and eucalyptus groves. Recreational activities The park is adjacent to Lake Chabot Regional Park, Redwood Regional Park, Dunsmuir Ridge Open Space, and the Upper San Leandro Reservoir. The Chabot Museum () is a museum dedicated to the Dutch painter and sculptor Hendrik Chabot in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The museum is housed in a monumental villa in the Museumpark, near the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen and the Netherlands Architecture Institute. History The museum opened in 1993. Thomas Chabot (born January 30, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman and alternate captain for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL). Chabot was drafted in the first round (18th overall) by the Senators in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. In January 2017, Chabot became the first defenceman to be named the most valuable player of the World Junior Championships. Steven Joseph Chabot ( ; born January 22, 1953) is an American politician and lawyer who has been the United States representative for since 2011. Philippe de Chabot, Seigneur De Brion, Count of Charny and Buzançois (c. 1492 – 1 June 1543), also known as Admiral De Brion, was an admiral of France. Biography The Chabot family was one of the oldest and most powerful in Poitou. Philippe was a cadet of the Jarnac branch. He was a companion of Francis I as a child, and on that king's accession was loaded with honors and estates. Paul Chabot (born March 19, 1974) is an American businessman, author, public speaker, former law enforcement officer, adjunct professor, and Commander of Naval Intelligence with the United States Navy Reserve. Chabot formerly served as a White House senior policy advisor on law enforcement for President George W. Bush, and prior was a Presidential Management Fellow. Laurent Edward Chabot (October 5, 1900 – October 10, 1946) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Chabot played in the National Hockey League from 1926 to 1937. He was a member of two Stanley Cup championship teams, the New York Rangers in 1928, and the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1932. Chabot played for the New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, Chicago Black Hawks, Montreal Maroons, and New York Americans. Chabot won the Vezina Trophy in 1934–35 for allowing the fewest goals against. Playing career During his stint with the Rangers, he was billed as "Lorne Chabotsky" by Rangers' publicity men Bruno and Blythe, in an attempt to garner more Jewish fans.
