Cevat Rıfat Atilhan (1892, Istanbul, Constantinople – 4 February 1967, Istanbul) was a Turkish people, Turkish career officer and Antisemitism, antisemitic writer, who was one of the initiators of the 1934 Thrace pogroms. Biography He was born in 1892 in Vefa, Constantinople (modern city), Constantinople. His father Rifat Pasha was the Governor of Damascus. The first years of his childhood passed in Damascus. Then he came to Constantinople and went to Fatih İptidaisi (primary school). After graduating from primary school, he started to Kuleli Military High School, preferring to military service. In his first days in the lieutenant years he took part in the Albanian campaign. He was taken prisoner by the Bulgarians in the Siege of Adrianople (1912–1913), siege of Edirne. Cevat Güler (born 12 March 1959 in Perşembe, Ordu Province) is a Turkish former football player and coach. Coaching career After Karl Heinz Feldkamp resigned at the end of 2007–08 season, he took over the managership and became the first coach to win the Süper Lig by joining a club after the season start. Players of Galatasaray nicknamed him "father" after this success. Following Michael Skibbe's managership control at Galatasaray, Cevat Güler became one of the assistant coaches of the Galatasaray football team. His contract was not expanded by the club after the arrival of Frank Rijkaard in 2009 summer. Güler was appointed manager of Azerbaijani Premier League side Ravan Baku on 12 July 2012. Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı (17 April 1890 – 13 October 1973; born Musa Cevat Şakir; pen-name "The Fisherman of Halicarnassus", tr, Halikarnas Balıkçısı) was a Cretan Turkish writer of novels, short-stories and essays, as well as a keen ethnographer and travel writer. Early life Şakir was born in 1890 to the Kabaağaclı family. He was the brother of artists Fahrelnissa Zeid and Aliye Berger, and grew up on Büyükada in İstanbul. His father, Mehmet Şakir Pasha, was an impoverished military officer who arranged for his son to study at Oxford University. Cevat dropped out and during his voyage back to Turkey married an Italian woman named Anise. In 1914 he shot his father after an argument on their family farm. Cevat said that they were arguing about his wife. He was sentenced to 14 years in jail, but was released after a general amnesty. Refi Cevat Ulunay (Damascus, Damascas, Syria: 1890-1968) was a Syrian-Turkey, Turkish writer, and a controversial journalist and novelist during the Ottoman Empire, Ottoman era. Early life and career Ulunay was born in Ottoman Empire, Ottoman Damascus in 1890. He began writing for numerous Ottoman newspapers on topics such as literature, culture, philosophy and the arts. He strongly criticized the Union and Progress Party between the years 1914 and 1918, and his writings opposing the Turkish Independence War lead to his exile until 1938. Upon arriving in the Republic of Turkey, Ulunay was a columnist for the Turkish newspaper "''Milliyet''".
