Cesare Benedetti
Cesare Benedetti (born 3 August 1987) is an Italian-born Polish professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born in Rovereto, Benedetti has competed as a professional since 2010, competing for the team since turning professional. He was also a member of the GS Gavardo Tecmor and De Nardi teams as an amateur, and also spent the second half of the 2009 season as a stagiaire with the team. Benedetti, and , made their Grand Tour début at the 2012 Giro d'Italia, where Benedetti exceeded the team's expectations of a top ten stage placing, by taking fifth place during the sixth stage of the race. Benedetti had been part of an eleven-rider breakaway at the start of the stage, but after 's Miguel Ángel Rubiano went clear, Benedetti remained with another three riders to the end of the stage. Rovereto (; "wood of sessile oaks"; locally: ''Roveredo'') is a city and ''comune'' in Trentino in northern Italy, located in the Vallagarina valley of the Adige River. The Vuelta a España (; en, Tour of Spain) is an annual multi-stage bicycle race primarily held in Spain, while also occasionally making passes through nearby countries. Inspired by the success of the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia, the race was first organised in 1935. The race was prevented from being run by the Spanish Civil War and World War II in the early years of its existence; however, the race has been held annually since 1955. As the Vuelta gained prestige and popularity the race was lengthened and its reach began to extend all around the globe. 2015 Giro Del Trentino
The 2015 Giro del Trentino was the 39th edition of the Giro del Trentino cycling stage race. The official name of the race was Giro del Trentino-Melinda, as the former one-day race Trofeo Melinda merged with the Giro del Trentino due to financial issues. For this reason, the last stage of Giro del Trentino passed through Val di Sole and the Non Valley, on the traditional route of the Trofeo Melinda. The race started on 21 April in Riva del Garda and ended on 24 April in Cles. The race consisted of four stages; as in recent years, the first was a team time trial from Riva del Garda to Arco. The race was part of the 2015 UCI Europe Tour, and was rated as a 2.HC event. The race was won by 's Australian rider Richie Porte, who took the leader's jersey after winning the second stage. Team Time Trial
A team time trial (TTT) is a road bicycle race in which teams of cyclists race against the clock (see individual time trial for a more detailed description of ITT events). The winning team in a TTT is determined by the comparing the times of (usually) the fourth-finishing rider in each team (though the relevant finish position can be otherwise specified in advance by the race organisers). This means that each team will try to get their first four (at least) riders across the finish line in a tight group: it is actually a disadvantage for any rider to finish far in advance of the fourth rider, as by staying back a faster rider can help the fourth rider to get a quicker time.
