Cerconota
''Cerconota'' is a genus of moths in the family Depressariidae. In 1991, I. W. B. Nye and David Stephen Fletcher included it in the family Oecophoridae and the subfamily Stenomatinae. It was later placed in the family Elachistidae and subfamily Stenomatinae by Ronald W. Hodges, in Niels Peder Kristensen (1999). Other classifications placed them in the Elachistidae or Oecophoridae, but they actually seem to belong to the Depressariidae. Cerconota Anonella
''Cerconota anonella'', the annona fruit borer, is a moth of the family Depressariidae. It is found in Suriname, French Guiana, Peru, Honduras and on Hispaniola. The wingspan is about 22 mm. The forewings are white, anteriorly with scattered fuscous specks and with a straight cloudy fuscous shade from one-fifth of the costa to the middle of the dorsum, as well as a small dark fuscous spot representing the second discal stigma. There is an irregular fuscous shade from the middle of the costa to three-fourths of the dorsum, obtusely angulated in the middle. A curved fuscous line is found from three-fourths of the costa to the dorsum before the tornus, indented towards the costa. There is also a series of dark fuscous marginal marks around the posterior part of the costa and termen. The hindwings are grey. ''Cerconota flexibilis'' is a moth of the family Depressariidae. It is found in French Guiana. The wingspan is 23–24 mm. The forewings are whitish-violet-fuscous with the costal edge whitish and with a suffused dark fuscous streak from the base of the dorsum curved upwards to beneath the middle of the wing and then descending to the tornus, narrowly obliquely interrupted at two-thirds, the dorsal area within this mostly suffused with violet, and including a slender violet-blackish somewhat upcurved subdorsal streak in its median portion and another above the posterior portion of this running into the upper streak towards the tornus. ''Cerconota fermentata'' is a moth of the family Depressariidae. It is found in French Guiana. The wingspan is 29–32 mm. The forewings are light ochreous-grey with the costal edge ochreous-whitish, edged beneath with fuscous and with a large very undefined patch of dark olive-brown suffusion occupying most of the basal half of the wing except towards the costa. There is a suffused purple streak along the dorsum from near the base to beyond the middle. The second discal stigma is small, indistinct and fuscous and there is a narrow curved fascia of olive brown suffusion from a dark brown mark on the middle of the costal edge to three-fourths of the dorsum, widened in the middle.
