Centrumaši
Centrumaši () was a reformist faction in the League of Communists of Yugoslavia, Communist Party of Yugoslavia, called the Socialist Labour Party of Yugoslavia (Communists) in the early 1920s. After the Second Congress in Vukovar in 1920, the name was changed to Communist Party of Yugoslavia and Centrumaši became more marginalised and, after publishing “Manifesto of the Opposition of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia, CPY”, were expelled from the party. They objected the name change to and continued to use SLPY(C) for several years and even ran against the CPY in the elections of 1920. The most important member of this group was Živko Topalović. In March 1921 Centrumaši formed the Socialist Workers Party of Yugoslavia. By December 1921, this party had united with Social Democratic Party of Yugoslavia and Yugoslav Social Democratic Party, forming the Socialist Party of Yugoslavia. Socialist Party Of Yugoslavia
The Socialist Party of Yugoslavia ( sh-Latn-Cyrl, Socijalistička partija Jugoslavije, Социјалистичка партија Југославије) was a political party in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The party was founded on 18 December 1921 with Živko Topalović as the secretary and Vilim Bukšeg as the president of the party. Foundation The party emerged from a process of unification of three groups: the centrumaši (the 'centrists'), Vitomir Korać's right-wing Social Democratic Party of Croatia and Slavonia, social democrats and the Yugoslav Social-Democratic Party from Slovenia. The centrists was a group that emerged from the nascent Communist Party of Yugoslavia. The centrists had proposed that the Communist Party should tone down its revolutionary line, seek cooperation with the government and distance itself from the Communist International, in order to save the party from the harsh repression inflicted upon it.
