Centro Sportivo Di Formello
S.S. Lazio Training Center (in Italian language, Italian: Centro Sportivo di Formello) is S.S.Lazio training ground. It is located on the outside of Formello, a village in the Province of Roma. Commissioned by the president Sergio Cragnotti, the facility was built in the years 1995–97. The works started in 1995 and they were built in just two years, so that from the spring of 1997, with a rite presentation on April 7, the 'Aquile' were trained at the Formello. Structure The sports center that houses the Lazio team extends over an area of 40 hectares comprising a main field where the first team is trained and hosts the home games of S.S Lazio Primavera; this field was titled in 2012 in the memory of Mirko Fersini, a white-collar nursery footballer who disappeared in a major road accident in April of the same year. The Rome metropolitan area is a statistical area that is centred on the city of Rome, Italy. It consists of the entire province of Metropolitan City of Rome Capital (formerly known as the Province of Rome) and a single commune, Aprilia, in the neighbouring Province of Latina. Formello
Formello is a town and ''comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Rome. It is located southwest of the Monti Sabatini, within the Regional Park of Veii. The communal territory is mostly composed by tuff, and is intensively cultivated. History The area has been settled since prehistoric times. As an Italian comune, it includes some of the archaeological sites associated with the powerful former Etruscan city of Veii, which rivaled Rome for a time, north of the village of Isola Farnese, south of Formello. Settlement in the region declined after Veii's destruction in 396 BC. Sergio Cragnotti (; born 9 January 1940, in Rome, Italy) is an Italian entrepreneur and author. One of the most high-profile and wealthy business figures in Italy in recent times, Cragnotti is best known for having been President of S.S. Lazio. However, his most influential position was as head of food conglomerate Cirio. This company included all Cirio food brands as well as those of the acquired ''Del Monte Foods International'' from the late 1990s. In 1992 Cragnotti bought football team S.S. Lazio from previous owner Calleri. In December 1993, the Ontario Securities Commission fined him for insider trading. The Cragnotti family owned 80% of the Cirio group which in turn owned a 51% stake in the Roman club. In 2002, the Cirio company declared default on its bonds. Claudio Lotito (born 9 May 1957 in Rome) is an Italian entrepreneur and politician. He is the owner and president of the Serie A football club S.S. Lazio since 2004. Lotito earned his high school diploma in Classics at Ugo Foscolo Classical Lyceum in Albano Laziale and a Bachelor of Arts in pedagogy cum laude from University of Rome I "La Sapienza".
