Centrist Alliance
The Centrist Alliance (french: Alliance centriste) (AC) is a centrist political party in France. It was founded in June 2009 by Jean Arthuis, a former member of the Union for French Democracy (UDF) and currently Member of European parliament, where he also serves as chair of the Committee on Budgets. The party is seen as a successor to Arthuis' Rally the Centrists (''Rassembler les centristes'') political association, whose main tenet was to re-create the UDF which was dissolved upon creation of the MoDem and the New Centre. Philippe Folliot
Philippe Folliot (born 14 July 1963 in Albi, Tarn) is a French politician who serves as a member of the National Assembly of France, representing the Tarn department. He is the founder of the Centrist Alliance. Political career Ahead of the 2012 presidential election, Folliot endorsed François Bayrou's candidacy as President of France. In 2013, Jean-Louis Borloo of the Union of Democrats and Independents (UDI) included Folliot in his shadow cabinet; in this capacity, he served as opposition counterpart to Minister of Defense Jean-Yves Le Drian. In the 2017 legislative election, Folliot claimed the banner of the presidential majority without being explicitly invested by La République En Marche!. Daniel Soulage
Daniel Soulage (14 February 1942 – 14 September 2020) was a French politician. Soulage was born in Monflanquin, Lot-et-Garonne, and served as deputy mayor of his hometown starting in 1978. He was elected to the mayoralty in 1983, retaining the office until 2008. Soulage was a member of the Senate of France from 2001 to 2011, representing Lot-et-Garonne department. Between 1993 and 1997, he served on the National Assembly from Lot-et-Garonne's 3rd constituency. While a deputy, Soulage was a member of the Union for French Democracy. Joseph Kergueris (born 2 October 1938) was a member of the Senate of France, who represented the Morbihan department. He is a member of the Centrist Union. Biography Joseph Kergueris began his political career as mayor of Landévant in 1971.
