Centric (magazine)
''Centric'' is the official student magazine of the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, United States. It is freely available on the university's campuses and online. The magazine is published biannually in the fall and spring by students and faculty of the Nicholson School of Communication, which is a part of UCF's College of Sciences. The first issue of the magazine was published in the Spring of 2011. Content ''Centric's'' content is primarily targeted to cater for its student demographic, and often examines innovative, interesting, or provocative people in the UCF community, such as students, faculty, and alumni. It often explores the unique programs of the university, such as Knightro and the Pegasus, and the daily lives of those in the UCF community. The magazine is advertised as "100 percent created and produced by students, for students." Knightro
Knightro is the official mascot of the University of Central Florida, and its sports teams, the Knights.Knightro is born Knightro debuted in 1994, and appears at UCF sporting events and also appears at UCF-related functions. Central Florida Future
The ''Central Florida Future'' was the independent weekly student newspaper of the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. ''The Future'' was one of the largest student-run newspapers in the United States, with a circulation of 14,000 and readership of over 30,000. It was a member of the ''USA Today'' network. The paper printed every Thursday during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. ''The Future'' was founded as the university's official newspaper shortly after it opened in 1968. ''The Future'' has been financially and editorially independent from the university since 1992. The paper was purchased by ''Florida Today'', which is owned by Gannett, in 2007. ''The Florida Review'' is a national, non-profit literary journal published twice a year by the College of Arts and Humanities at the University of Central Florida. Its artistic mission is to publish the best poetry and prose written by the world's most exciting emerging and established writers. Pegasus (mascot)
Pegasus is the official logo, symbol and mascot of the University of Central Florida (UCF) a metropolitan public research university located in Orlando, Florida, United States. While the Pegasus is the logo and mascot of the university, Knightro is the mascot of university's athletic programs, the UCF Knights. The Pegasus logo is popular among students and the community, and UCF's equestrian club maintains a mascot program, which owns a "Pegasus" horse, a gray Andalusian stallion.
