Centrepoint ( ar, سنتربوينت, ) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE. The eastern terminus of the line, it is one of 3 metro stations with a park and ride lot, the others being Etisalat and Jabal Ali. The station was previously known as Rashidiya, on 4th August 2021 it was renamed as Centrepoint. Location Centrepoint station is located in Al Rashidiya, a community of eastern Dubai. A residential area, most points of interest near the station are schools and community centres, although Centrepoint is the closest Metro station to the Dubai Airport Expo. Red Line (Dubai Metro)
The Red Line is one of the two lines on the Dubai Metro network in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Red Line runs from Rashidiya in the east to Jebel Ali in the west and travels parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road for most of its length. There are two transfer stations with the Green Line at Union and BurJuman stations. Additionally Jabal Ali is an interchange between the main Red Line and a branch to UAE Exchange. UAE Exchange (Dubai Metro)
UAE Exchange ( ar, مركز الإمارات العربية المتحدة للصرافة; previously called Jebel Ali) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. History The station was inaugurated in March 2011 and was expected to handle over 4,000 passengers daily. It was the last stop on the Red Line until May 31, 2021, and has a total handling capacity of 11,000 passengers per direction. It is the only metro station that is built on the ground, and is not elevated or underground. The station was previously called Jebel Ali, before it was renamed on June 30, 2015, to UAE Exchange following an agreement between Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and UAE Exchange. Expo 2020 ( ar, اكسبو 2020) is a rapid transit station on the Route 2020 branch of the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The metro station opened on 1 June 2021 as part of Route 2020, created to link central Dubai to the Expo 2020 exhibition site. The schedule was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Arab Emirates. Dubai Metro
The Dubai Metro is a rapid transit rail network in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is currently operated by the French company Keolis. The Red Line and Green Line are operational, with a major 15 km (9.3 mi) extension to the Red Line known as Route 2020 to the Expo 2020 site announced in April 2015 and opened in 2021.
