Centrem
Centrem ( en, "Let's focus") is a Catalan nationalist centre-right political party in Catalonia, announced on 11 January 2022 by former Catalan European Democratic Party (PDeCAT) secretary-general Àngels Chacón, in an attempt to unify the parties in the political space left by the dissolution of Convergence and Union (CiU), and the ascendence of Catalan President Carles Puigdemont on the Together for Catalonia party founded in July 2020, which emerged from an homonymous 2017 electoral alliance. The party is supported by Chacón's former party, the PDeCAT, as well as Convergents (CNV), Democratic League (LD) and Free (Lliures), and has announced that it will contest the 2023 Spanish local elections in Catalonia. Free (political Party)
Free ( ca, Lliures) was a Catalan political party founded in October 2016 and registered in December by former members of Democratic Convergence of Catalonia (CDC) and Democratic Union of Catalonia (UDC), including former CDC regional minister in Jordi Pujol's sixth government Antoni Fernández Teixidó as well as former UDC deputy Roger Montañola. It defined itself as a liberal and Catalanist party opposed to Catalan independence, and since its inception it struggled to form a unitary Catalanist electoral alliance mirroring the political platform of the late Convergence and Union. Àngels Chacón
Maria Àngels Chacón i Feixas (born 1968) is a Spanish politician from Catalonia who served as Minister of Enterprise and Knowledge of the Catalan government. Early life Chacón was born in 1968 in Igualada, Catalonia. She has a degree in law from the University of Barcelona and is a specialist in international trade. Career Chacón has worked as export director for several companies in the paper sector. She was commercial director for Juan Romaní Esteve and was in charge of export for Manipulados del Noya. She was general-secretary of the Anoia Business Union, an organisation that represents 850 partners and 2,400 companies, from 2008 to 2011. Together for Catalonia ( ca, Junts per Catalunya, Junts) is a Catalan political party established in July 2020 by former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont, announced on 2 July as a result of the foundering of negotiations with the Catalan European Democratic Party (PDeCAT) over the re-organization of the post- convergent political space under the "Together for Catalonia" umbrella. Marta Pascal Capdevila (born 10 April 1983) is a Spanish politician, a Senator of the Parliament of Catalonia. From July 2016 to July 2018, she was general coordinator of the Catalan European Democratic Party (PDeCAT). The 2023 Spanish local elections were held on Sunday, 28 May 2023, to elect all 67,031 councillors in the municipalities of Spain and all 1,038 seats in 38 provincial deputations. Convergents ( ca, Convergents, CNV) is a Catalan political party founded in November 2017 by former regional justice minister in Artur Mas's second government Germà Gordó, who had left the Catalan European Democratic Party (PDeCAT) in June 2017. Together for Catalonia ( ca, Junts per Catalunya, JxCat, also JuntsxCat) was an electoral and parliamentary alliance in Catalonia, registered as a political party in the interior ministry in July 2018, originally envisaged as a platform comprising the Catalan European Democratic Party (PDeCAT), successor of the late Democratic Convergence of Catalonia (CDC), and independents and centered around the candidacy of former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont ahead of the 2017 Catalan regional election. Carles Puigdemont i Casamajó (; born 29 December 1962) is a Catalan politician and journalist from Spain. Since 2019 he has served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP).
