The Central European Basketball League (also known as the CEBL) was a professional basketball competition in Central Europe. It was composed of teams from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Romania Romania ( ; ro, România ) is a country located at the crossroads of Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe. Nový Jičín
Nový Jičín (; german: Neutitschein) is a town in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 23,000 inhabitants. The Central European Basketball League, or CEBL for short, was a basketball tournament with Central European basketball teams. In the 2008/2009 inaugural season, teams from the following five countries participated: Czech Republic, Austria, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia.
