The Central District of Urmia County ( fa, بخش مرکزی شهرستان ارومیه) is a district ( bakhsh) in Urmia County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 702,376, in 184,576 families. The District has one city: Urmia. A ( fa, بخش, also romanized as ) is a third-level administrative division of Iran. Urmia
Urmia or Orumiyeh ( fa, ارومیه, Variously transliterated as ''Oroumieh'', ''Oroumiyeh'', ''Orūmīyeh'' and ''Urūmiyeh''.) is the largest city in West Azerbaijan Province of Iran and the capital of Urmia County.
