The Central District of Sirjan County ( fa, بخش مرکزی شهرستان سیرجان) is a district (bakhsh) in Sirjan County, Kerman Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 226,073, in 54,895 families. The district has four cities: Sirjan Sirjan ( fa, سيرجان, also Romanized as Sīrjān; formerly Sa‘īdābād) is a city and the capital of Sirjan County, Kerman Province,in the south of Iran. A ( fa, بخش, also romanized as ) is a third-level administrative division of Iran. While sometimes translated as "county," it is more accurately translated as "district," similar to a township in the United States or a district of England.
