The Central District of Hashtrud County ( fa, بخش مرکزی شهرستان هشترود) is a district (bakhsh) in Hashtrud County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 45,982, in 10,428 families. The District has one city: Hashtrud. A ( fa, بخش, also romanized as ) is a third-level administrative division of Iran. While sometimes translated as "county," it is more accurately translated as "district," similar to a township in the United States or a district of England.
