Central Cebu Protected Landscape
The Central Cebu Protected Landscape (CCPL) is a protected area located in the mountains and drainage basins of central Cebu in the Philippines. The CCPL covers what used to be known as the Central Cebu National Park, Buhisan Dam, Mananga Watershed Forest Reserve, Kotkot-Lusuran Watershed Forest Reserve, and the Sudlon National Park. The protected area spans of adjoining forestlands and watersheds located in the middle of the province. It covers parts of the central Cebu cities of Cebu City, Toledo, Talisay, and Danao, and the municipalities of Balamban, Minglanilla, Consolacion, Liloan and Compostela. The CCPL houses many of Cebu's endemic and indigenous species. Compostela, Cebu
Compostela, officially the Municipality of Compostela ( ceb, Dakbayan sa Compostela; tgl, Bayan ng Compostela), is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 55,874 people. Compostela is within the Metro Cebu area. History In the year 1844, Spanish authorities established local government units on the northern part of Cebu starting from what is now known as the town of Compostela as far north as what is now called the town of Borbon. Compostela was among the early barrios of the Danao. Kan-irag Nature Park
The Kan-irag Nature Park is a watershed and nature park in the uplands of Cebu City, Philippines that opened in the mid-2000s. It was once a bald mountain, but due to reforestation with native trees, the area became a functioning watershed. It is home to about 27 native bird species, such as the emerald dove, Asian glossy starling, the collared kingfisher, the black-naped oriole, and the olive-backed sunbird. The park's size is .
