Central Avenue Line (Maryland)
The Central Avenue Line, designated Route C21, C22, C26, C27, C29, is a daily bus route operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority between Addison Road station (C21, C22, C27, C29) or Downtown Largo station (C26) of the Blue and Silver lines of the Washington Metro, and Bowie Park & Ride Lot (C26), Pointer Ridge (C21, C22, C27, C29), Collington Center (C21, C22 weekday peak hour trips), or Bowie State University (C29, Sat. Only). The line operates every 30–35 minutes during the weekday peak-hours only and 60 minutes at all other times at a combined frequency of 15–30 minutes. Trips roughly take 30 minutes (C27), 45 minutes (C22), 55 minutes (C21, C26, Sunday C29 trips) or 80 minutes (Saturday C29 trips). Prince George's Community College (PGCC) is a public community college in Largo, Maryland, Largo in Prince George's County, Maryland. The college serves Prince George's County and surrounding areas, including Washington, D.C. History Founded in 1958, Prince George's Community College came into existence because there was perceived to be a need for educational opportunities for the residents of the county, particularly those who were still in the K–12 grades of the public schools in the late 1950s. Classes commenced at Suitland High School, with a student body of 185; thus, the college celebrated 50 years of service in 2008. Hampton Towne Centre, formerly Hampton Square Mall, was an enclosed shopping mall in Hampton Township, Michigan, just outside the city of Essexville, Michigan, United States. Built in 1975, the property became a dead mall following the closure of its anchor stores, and ultimately closed in 2010. The building, vacant except for a thrift store, an intermediate school district, and a Michigan Department of Human Services office, was owned by Art Dore who died November 2 of 2022. New Carrollton station is a joint Washington Metro, MARC, and Amtrak station just outside the city limits of New Carrollton, Prince George's County, Maryland located at the eastern end of the Metro's Orange Line. Maryland Route 197
Maryland Route 197 (MD 197) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. Known for most of its length as Laurel Bowie Road, the state highway runs from U.S. Route 301 (US 301) in Bowie north to MD 198 in Laurel. MD 197 serves as the main connection between Bowie and Laurel in northern Prince George's County. The highway also provides access to Patuxent Wildlife Research Center and Bowie State University. MD 197 also connects US 50 in Bowie and the Baltimore–Washington Parkway in South Laurel with the Bowie State MARC station. Maryland Route 3 (MD 3), part of the Robert Crain Highway, is the designation given to the former alignment of U.S. Route 301 (US 301) from Bowie, Maryland, United States, to Baltimore. It is named for Robert Crain of Baltimore. It is unique in Maryland in that it has a business route and a truck route which do not connect to their parent; however, the business route is also a part of the Robert Crain Highway. MD 3's current orientation is vestigial from the construction of Maryland's freeway system. The Blue Line is a rapid transit line of the Washington Metro system, consisting of 27 stations in Fairfax County, Alexandria and Arlington, Virginia; the District of Columbia; and Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. Glover Park–Franklin Square Line
The Glover Park–Franklin Square Line, designated Route D1, is a weekday peak hour bus route operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority between Glover Park and Franklin Square. The line operates in the weekday peak direction only every 8-20 minutes during the AM weekday peak hours and 30 minutes during the PM peak hours. Route D1 trips are roughly 40 minutes long. Background Route D1 operates during weekday peak hours only in the peak direction between Glover Park and Franklin Square.
