Celler Peralada
Celler Perelada is an emblematic building in Peralada and state of the art in leaving a minimum environmental impact during winemaking process. It is committed to environmental balance within the DO Empordà (DO), Empordà and the first winery in Europe to receive the golden LEED certificate for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Building and design The Celler Perelada project was undertaken by family Suqué Mateu at a price of 40 million €. with standards aimed at achieving the improvement of the quality of its wines, returning to traditional systems. The winery was designed and building activities supervised by Rafael Aranda of RCR Arquitectes, recipients of the Pritzker Prize 2017. Peralada
Peralada () is a village in the province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain. It was the home of the Frankish Counts of Peralada who controlled this portion of the Marca Hispanica before becoming part of the lands held by the Count of Barcelona. Figueres is 6.5 km to the west, Roses 13.6 km to the south east. The N-260 to the south connects Figueres with Portbou and the French border. The local economy is based on tourism, winemaking and dairy farming. Since 1987 a festival of music has been held in Peralada. Empordà (DO)
Empordà is a Spanish Denominación de Origen Protegida (DOP) (''Denominació d'Origen Protegida'' in Catalan) for wines produced in the northeastern corner of Catalonia, Spain in the province of Girona. The region generally extends from the town of Figueres northwards to the French border and the French wine-making regions of Banyuls and Côtes du Roussillon. To the south, it extends through Baix Empordà near the Mediterranean Sea. The DOP is crossed by the rivers Muga, Llobregat and Manol which flow eastwards to the sea. History Archaeologists have suggested that vines were first introduced to this region by the Phoenicians in the 5th century BC. The ancient Romans and the Benedictine monks later also contributed. The first written documentation dates from 1130 and was a treatise on wine written by Father Pere de Novas in the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes. RCR Arquitectes
RCR Arquitectes is a Spanish architecture firm consisting of principles and co-founders Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem and Ramon Vilalta. The trio were the 2017 recipients of the Pritzker Prize for Architecture. While the firm had won many awards before the Pritzker, they were relatively unknown compared to other finalists. Pritzker Prize

Catalan wines are those that are produced in the wine region of Catalonia.
