On 26 May 2011, the date of her 36th birthday, Singaporean property agent Celine Ng Swee Peng (黄瑞萍 Huáng Ruìpíng) disappeared after she was last seen by her flatmate, who reported her missing two days after Ng's disappearance. According to the flatmate, she heard Ng telling her she wanted to go overseas during a drinks session at her condominium, before she went to sleep and later awoke to find Ng missing. The police questioned Ng's family and friends, who all publicized her case to seek information of her whereabouts, which remained a mystery for more than a month. The police eventually conducted a nationwide search and 41 days after Ng's disappearance, the police found a skeleton left in the forest along Clementi Road, and the skeletal remains were confirmed to be Ng's after some DNA tests. West Coast is a subzone located in the town of Clementi, the western part of Singapore. The subzone currently lies in the West Coast GRC. History West Coast was created out of reclaimed land in the 1970s. Despite both being created out of reclaimed land, the east became a recreational area but the west was filled with industries. The western part of West Coast is largely industrial but the eastern and central parts of the area are mostly filled with private housing along with a single HDB estate. Subhas Anandan (25 December 1947 – 7 January 2015) was an Indian-Singaporean notable criminal lawyer. The President's Pleasure (Singapore)
The President's Pleasure (TPP) in Singapore was a practice of indefinite imprisonment formerly applied to offenders who were convicted of capital offences (most notably murder and drug trafficking) but were below the age of 18 at the time of their crimes. Such offenders will not be sentenced to death in accordance to the death penalty laws in Singapore and are indefinitely detained by order of the President of Singapore. This is similarly practised, till today, for offenders who were of unsound mind when they committed any crimes and are thus not subject to any punishment but indefinite detainment at prisons or medical facilities (notably the Institute of Mental Health) in Singapore. Anthony Ler
Anthony Ler Wee Teang ( – 13 December 2002) was a Singaporean convicted murderer who Contract killing, hired a youth to murder his wife, 30-year-old real-estate agent Annie Leong Wai Mun, who was in the midst of a divorce with him. Ler's motive was to become the sole owner of their flat and to gain custody of their four-year-old daughter. Ler approached five youths and offered them a reward of S$100,000 to kill Leong. A 15-year-old boy whom Ler had known for five years accepted the offer. Ler threatened and manipulated the youth to carry out the deed. After several failed attempts, the youth fatally stabbed Leong. The boy was not named to protect his identity since he was a minor. Court documents and media instead referred to the boy as "Z".
