Celine Helgemo
Celine Solemsløkk Helgemo (born 31 August 1995) is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. She won a Norwegian song competition for kids MGPjr 2007 with her song "Bæstevænna" (translated as ''best friends'') when she was 12 years old, and has released a platinum-certified album. Helgemo comes from Orkdal, near Trondheim. She goes to a local dance school, takes singing lessons and has performed in local plays with her friend. Helgemo likes to compose songs, and her winning song in MGP Nordic is about her best friend Astrid Smeplass. She represented Norway in MGP Nordic 2007 after winning the local Norwegian qualifying competition '' Melodi Grand Prix Junior 2007'' Helgemo also released an album of original songs just before the MGP Nordic final. One of the songs is a duet with her best friend Astrid. The album got a platinum certification in a month after its release. Orkdal
Orkdal is a former municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 2020 when it joined Orkland Municipality. It was part of the Orkdalen region. The administrative centre of the municipality was the city of Orkanger. Some of the notable villages in the municipality included Kjøra, Geitastrand, Gjølme, Thamshavn, Fannrem, Vormstad, Svorkmo, and Hoston. Agriculture plays a significant role in the municipality. The Thamshavnbanen was used to transport ore from Løkken Verk to the port of Thamshavn, and is now a vintage railway. The Fannrem concentration camp was located in Fannrem during World War II. Malin Reitan
Malin (born Malin Reitan; 8 August 1995 in Trondheim, Norway) is a Norwegian singer. She finished 3rd in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with her song "''Sommer og skolefri''". She is also a recording artist with several released albums. Malin sings in her regional dialect. Biography Malin's career as a singer started when she was nine years old. She auditioned for the Norwegian selection for JESC 2005, the Melodi Grand Prix Junior 2005, and she was selected to sing among ten contestants in the final show. Her song was too short though, so she had to write one more verse for it on the way home from the audition. After surprising herself by winning MGP Jr by a landslide, she went on a summer concert tour, singing at festivals and on television shows. In November, she performed in the JESC 2005 in Hasselt, Belgium and finished 3rd, the best position for Norway so far. Julekonserten
Julekonserten was a Norwegian Christmas concert which was held every year between 1989 and 1999. ''Julekonserten'' toured in Scandinavia, and visited cities in Norway, Sweden and Denmark with a mix of Scandinavian artists. The long list of artists and performers includes Sissel Kyrkjebø, The Chieftains, Oslo Gospel Choir, Triple & Touch, Rune Larsen, Tor Endresen and Kurt Ravn. Every year ''Julekonserten'' (the concerts in Oslo and Gjøvik) was also broadcast on Television in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
