Celina Jade (born Celina Horan; 10 June 1985) is a Hong Kong-American actress, singer, songwriter, model, and martial artist. 2007–08 South-West Indian Ocean Cyclone Season
The 2007–08 South-West Indian Ocean cyclone season was the third most active tropical cyclone season, along with the 1985–86 season and behind the 1993–94 season and the 2018–19 season, with twelve named tropical cyclones developing in the region. It began on November 15, 2007, and ended on April 30, 2008, with the exception for Mauritius and the Seychelles, which ended May 15. These dates conventionally delimit the period of each year when most tropical cyclones form in the basin, which is west of 90°E and south of the Equator. Celena Shafer is an American soprano, born c. 1975 in Centerville, Utah. Career At age 17, Shafer won a vocal competition at the Utah State Fair, and was selected to sing with the Utah Symphony orchestra in their ''Salute to Youth'' concert. After graduating from Viewmont High School, she enrolled in the University of Utah, where she continued her vocal study. After graduation, she enrolled in the Santa Fe opera apprentice program, further developing her coloratura skills in roles as Marie (''La Fille du Régiment)'' and Gilda (''Rigoletto''). In 1999, Shafer won the Metropolitan Opera National Council of Auditions, Utah district. She is also the recipient of a 2000 Sara Tucker Study Grant from the Richard Tucker Foundation. Celina Seghi (6 March 1920 – 27 July 2022) was an Italian alpine skier. Born in Abetone, Tuscany, she was the youngest child in a family of nine and earned her first Italian championship medal, a bronze in the slalom, in 1934. __NOTOC__ Biography In 1937 Seghi earned three national titles, her first victories at that level, by winning the slalom, downhill, and combined events. In total she won a total of 25 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze medals at the Italian National Championships: gold seven times, silver thrice, and bronze twice in the downhill, gold and silver once each in the giant slalom, gold ten times, silver twice, and bronze once in the slalom, and gold seven times in the combined. Celina Jesionowska (later names Gerwin and Orzechowska, born 3 November 1933 in Łomża) is a Polish athlete who competed mainly in the 100 and 200 metres and, during the last part of her career, in the 400 metres. She competed for Poland in the 1960 Summer Olympics held in Rome, Italy, in the 4 x 100 metres where she won the bronze medal with her team mates Teresa Wieczorek, Barbara Janiszewska and Halina Richter. Celina González Zamora (16 March 1929 – 4 February 2015) was a Cuban singer-songwriter, who specialized in "música campesina", traditional music of the Cuban countryside. She is best known for co-authoring ''A Santa Bárbara'' with her partner Reutilio Domínguez. Her recording of it was a hit, as was Celia Cruz's version. González and Domínguez wrote "Yo soy el punto cubano": the recording was a hit in many countries throughout the world. González was born in Jovellanos, Matanzas. At age 16, she met Reutilio Domínguez in Santiago de Cuba. He became her singing partner and husband, resulting in a collaboration that lasted until his death in Guantanamo in 1971.
