Celebrity Treasure Island 2022
''Celebrity Treasure Island 2022'' is the sixth celebrity edition and the 12th season overall of the New Zealand reality-television series ''Treasure Island'' which returned to Ngātaki, Northland, New Zealand. This season premiered on 5 September, and aired weekly, Monday to Wednesday, at 7:30 PM on TVNZ 2 and TVNZ+; hosted by Matt Chisholm and Bree Tomasel. One of the twenty-one celebrities won a grand prize of $100,000 for their chosen charity. Jesse Tuke won the treasure hunt on Day 27 and took $100,000 for Live Ocean. Courtney Louise and Elvis Lopeti were the other two finalists. This season raised $205,000 across 14 various charities across New Zealand. Kuaka
The bar-tailed godwit (''Limosa lapponica'') is a large and strongly migratory wader in the family Scolopacidae, which feeds on bristle-worms and shellfish on coastal mudflats and estuaries. It has distinctive red breeding plumage, long legs, and a long upturned bill. Bar-tailed godwits breed on Arctic coasts and tundra from Scandinavia to Alaska, and overwinter on coasts in temperate and tropical regions of Australia and New Zealand. The migration of the subspecies ''Limosa lapponica baueri'' across the Pacific Ocean from Alaska to New Zealand is the longest known non-stop flight of any bird, and also the longest journey without pausing to feed by any animal. Ngāti Whātua is a Māori iwi (tribe) of the lower Northland Peninsula of New Zealand's North Island. It comprises a confederation of four hapū (subtribes) interconnected both by ancestry and by association over time: Te Uri-o-Hau, Te Roroa, Te Taoū, and Ngāti Whātua-o-Ōrākei. The four hapū can act together or separately as independent tribes. Siobhan Marshall is a New Zealand actress best known for her role as Pascalle West from the comedy/drama series '' Outrageous Fortune'' (2005–2010). TikTok, known in China as Douyin (), is a short-form video hosting service owned by the Chinese company ByteDance. It hosts user-submitted videos, which can range in duration from 15 seconds to 10 minutes. TikTok is an international version of Douyin, which was released in the Chinese market in September 2016. Va'aiga Tuigamala
Va'aiga Lealuga Tuigamala Pulelua Fesola'i (4 September 1969 – 24 February 2022), sometimes known as Inga Tuigamala, was a professional rugby union and rugby league footballer. Born in Samoa, he represented New Zealand in rugby union, winning 19 caps, and later Samoa in both rugby league (two caps) and rugby union (23 caps). He played in one rugby league and two rugby union World Cups. Tuigamala began his career in rugby union, and played provincially for Auckland. Ron Cribb
Ronald Te Huia Cribb (born 7 July 1976) is a former New Zealand rugby union player. A loose forward, the 1.94 m, 110 kg Cribb is a former All Black, and mainly played number eight. Early life Cribb was born in Whanganui, but was raised in Taihape. His mother left when he was 3.5 years old, and has been troubled by alcohol-related violence. His father, James, died in May, 2011. He befriended Troy Flavell and looked to his family as parental figures. He was expelled from Rutherford High School due to anger issues. Career Cribb last played professionally in Japan for Kobelco Steelers. He joined from the North Harbour province. Michael King (born 12 April 1962) is a New Zealand mental health advocate, television personality, and former comedian. He is known in New Zealand as the spokesperson who marketed New Zealand pork, presenting 30-second TV commercials on cooking pork known as ''Mike's Meals'' until he disengaged from the pork industry. King's television career began in 1997 with his debut in the New Zealand comedy show ''Pulp Comedy''. Before television, King worked as a stand-up comedian.
