Celalettin Arif
Celalettin Arif (1875–1928) was a Turkish lawyer, politician, academic, government minister and diplomat. Early years Celalettin Arif was born to Mehmet Arif in Erzurum, Ottoman Empire in 1875. After finishing the Soğukçeşme Military Middle School in Istanbul and Galatasaray High School, he studied law and political science in Paris, France. Between 1901 and 1908, he worked as a lawyer in Cairo, Egypt. Returned to Istanbul, he taught law and political science in colleges. From 1914 to 1920, he served as the conseil chairman of the Bar of Istanbul. He co-founded the political party " Osmanlı Ahrar Fıkrası" ("Ottoman Liberty Party"), and was elected as a deputy from Istanbul into the Ottoman parliament in its 4th legislative term. On March 4, 1920 he was elected parliament speaker that lasted only a brief time as the parliament was disbanded on 5 April 1920 by the Allied troops during the occupation of Istanbul. Celalettin Güvenç (born 1 January 1959) is a Turkish politician from the Justice and Development Party who has been a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey since 2015. He represents the electorate of Kahramanmaraş. Celalettin Muhtar "Celal" Özden (August 1865 – 26 October 1947) was a Turkish dermatologist known for his work on dermatophytes. Often known as 'Djèlaleddin Moukhtar' in Europe, he served as a prominent military and civilian physician and a medical scholar in the last decades of the Ottoman Empire and the early history of Turkey. Early life and education Özden as born in Istanbul in August 1865. to parents Mehmet and Emine Muhtar. His father, Mehmet, was the head clerk and literary teacher at the Ottoman Military Medical School. Mustafa Celalettin Pasha
Mustafa Celalettin Pasha, born as Konstanty Borzęcki (April 10, 1826 in Modrzewiec, Piotrków County – 1876 in Novoselë, Kolonjë), was a participant in Polish and Ottoman uprisings, a strategist, and a writer. He was the great-grandfather of Nâzım Hikmet and Oktay Rıfat Horozcu. He participated in the Greater Poland Uprising (1848) (Poznań uprising against the Prussians) and the Hungarian revolution in 1848-1849 (the Polish Legion fought in Hungary during the war). After the fall of the uprising, he emigrated to the Ottoman Empire, where he enlisted in the army. There he adopted a new name, Mustafa Celalettin Pasha, and was circumcised and converted to Islam in 1849.
