Cedar Grove is a mixed-use locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In the , Cedar Grove had a population of 2,041 people. Geography The western and part of the northern boundary of Cedar Grove follows the Logan River. On the river on the northern boundary is the Cedar Grove Weir. The Mount Lindesay Highway loosely forms the eastern boundary of the locality. The eastern edge of the locality and the west of the locality are used for agriculture, a mixture of grazing on native vegetation and crop growing. A strip through the centre of the locality between the eastern and western agricultural areas is residential. History Cedar Grove railway station () was on the disused Beaudesert railway line from Bethania to Beaudesert. The line opened on 16 May 1888. When the railway line to Beaudesert was built in 1888, the station was built in the area known as Cedar Pocket. The station appears on an 1888 map as Cedar Pocket South railway station. Flinders Peak
Flinders Peak () is a conspicuous triangular peak, high, on the west end of the Bristly Peaks. The peak overlooks Forster Ice Piedmont near the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. The Logan River ( Yugambeh: ''Dugulumba'') is a perennial river located in the Scenic Rim, Logan and Gold Coast local government areas of the South East region of Queensland, Australia. The Shire of Beaudesert was a local government area located in South East Queensland, Australia, stretching from the New South Wales border, along the Gold Coast hinterland to the urban fringes of the cities of Brisbane and Ipswich. The SEQ Water Grid is a region-wide, long term, water supply scheme that provides a sustainable water infrastructure network for the South East region of Queensland, Australia. The project was the largest urban response to the drought in Australia, which severely affected water supplies in Brisbane and surrounds, particularly between 2004 and 2007. The basic component of the project was a network of potable bulk water pipelines that connect areas that have an oversupply of water to those areas lacking water. The Beaudesert railway line (also known as the Upper Logan railway line) is a disused branch railway in South East Queensland, Australia. The first section opened in 1885, the line was completed in 1888 and operated as a Queensland Government Railways (QGR) line until 1996 (Passenger service ceased in 1961). A heritage operation was undertaken for a short period in 2003.
