Cedar Creek Reservoir is a reservoir located in Henderson and Kaufman Counties, Texas (USA), southeast of Dallas. It is built on Cedar Creek, which flows into the Trinity River. Floodwaters are discharged through a gated spillway into a discharge channel that connects to the Trinity River. Description The lake has a drainage area over . The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department maintains three islands, totalling , as a wildlife management area for aquatic birds. The lake is owned by the Tarrant Regional Water District, and supplies water to Fort Worth and other cities and water districts in Tarrant and Johnson Counties.Tarrant Regional Water District

Henderson County is a County (United States), county in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census, its population was 82,150. The county seat is Athens, Texas, Athens. The county is named in honor of James Pinckney Henderson, the first attorney general of the Republic of Texas, and secretary of state for the republic. He later served as the first governor of Texas. Richland-Chambers Reservoir is the third largest inland reservoir by surface area and the 8th largest reservoir by water volume in Texas formed by the impoundment of Richland Creek and Chambers Creek east-southeast of the town of Corsicana and south of Kerens, in Navarro County and Freestone County, Texas, USA. It has of shoreline and is "Y" shaped with the dam on the eastern end of the lake. History Due to a drought in 1956-1957 plans were made by the Tarrant Regional Water District to build the Richland-Chambers Reservoir with the purpose of being a public water source for Tarrant County. Seven Points, Texas
Seven Points is a city in Henderson and Kaufman counties in the U.S. state of Texas. The population was 1,455 at the 2010 census, up from 1,145 at the 2000 census. The city is named for an intersection where seven roads converge. These are not Old West wagon trails, however; the town did not exist until nearby Cedar Creek Reservoir was built in the 1960s, and was not incorporated until the 1970s. The seven roads consist of two state highways (three directions), a farm-to-market road, and three county roads. Eustace is a city in Henderson County, Texas, United States. The population was 991 at the 2010 census, up from 798 at the 2000 census. History ''Fire From Below'' In November 2007, film crews led by actor/producer Andrew Stevens came to Eustace to film a movie called ''Fire from Below''.
