Cecily Mutitu Mbarire EGH A.K.A Karinda (born 26 December 1972) is the serving governor of Embu County having been sworn into office on August 25, 2022. She is the chairperson of Kenya`s ruling party, United Democratic Alliance, and the patron of The Kenya Scouts Association (Embu County). She was educated at Muragari Primary School and Sacred Heart Kyeni Girls. She has had an extensive career in politics spanning over 20 years, she rose to the limelight having been nominated MP in the year 2002–2007. Muragari School
Muragari Primary School is the third-oldest school in Embu, Kenya. It was founded 1932 by the National Independent Church of Africa near the current Mukuuri Township, Kagaari North Ward, Runyenjes Sub County. It was razed by colonialists in 1952 during the Mau Mau Uprising in Embu. Muragari was rebuilt in 1955 on 24 acres as a government school, at the site where General Kubu Kubu was cremated after being shot dead by colonial officers. Muragari now comprises a day primary school, Muragari Secondary School and Kubu Kubu Memorial Boarding Primary School in memory of General Kubu Kubu. The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is the current ruling political party in Kenya. Their slogan is "Kazi ni Kazi" (Work is work) and their symbol is a wheelbarrow .The party, initially called the Party of Development and Reforms, officially changed its name to UDA in December 2020. The channel began operating on April 4, 2005, and is a revamp from the previous Nation TV station under the Nation Media Group arm that has been in existence since 1999.
