Jesús Cañizares Sánchez (born 21 April 1992), best known as Cañi, is a Spanish footballer who plays for Xerez CD as an attacking midfielder. Club career Born in As Pontes, Cañi was a youth product of local CD As Pontes. He made his debuts as a senior in 2011–12 season, representing the side in Tercera División. On 21 May 2013 he signed a two-year deal with Deportivo de La Coruña, being initially assigned to the reserves also in the fourth level. As Pontes de García Rodríguez is a municipality in the northwest of the province of A Coruña, in the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Eume. It is the largest municipality in the province and it has a population of 11,139 inhabitants (INE, 2011). Economy The town's economy depends primarily on industry. The town's main employer is the natural gas power plant run by Endesa. This plant is the largest in Spain and its chimney is the highest structure in the country at 365 meters and the second tallest tower in Europe. The 2013–14 Copa del Rey was the 112th staging of the Copa del Rey (including two seasons where two rival editions were played). The competition began on 4 September 2013 and ended on 16 April 2014 with the final.
