Barbotan-les-Thermes is a spa in the Gers department of south-western France. Barbotan forms part of the ''commune'' of Cazaubon, and the town of Cazaubon is some to the south-west. Gascon (; , ) is the name of the vernacular Romance variety spoken mainly in the region of Gascony, France. A spa town is a resort town based on a mineral spa (a developed mineral spring). Patrons visit spas to "take the waters" for their purported health benefits.
