Cauvery Bridge, Erode
Cauvery Bridge is a stone bridge across the Kaveri river in Tiruchirappalli district, Tamil Nadu, India. The bridge connects Tiruchirappalli in Tiruchirappalli district with SRIRANGAM in Tiruchirappalli district. This two-lane bridge is the primary gateway for the city of SRIRANGAM, from the east. Expansion Being the major transit artery of Erode, it meets heavy traffic congestion due to increasing vehicular movements in the city. For easing the traffic congestion and a component of infrastructure expansion for Erode, the Government planned to widen this into four-lane by constructing additional bridge. The new bridge is being constructed in parallel to the existing one to convert the traffic in two-way manner. Kaveri River
The Kaveri (also known as Cauvery, the anglicized name) is one of the major Indian rivers flowing through the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Outer Ring Road, Erode
The Outer Ring Road is a long semi ring road laid around the South Indian city of Erode in Tamil Nadu. It also acts as a southern Bypass to Erode and connects the suburban areas in Namakkal district with the city core areas. The state government of Tamil Nadu has sanctioned the project in 2006, with a funding of 85 crore, with a land acquisition of 180 acres. Among which, 30 crore will be given as compensation for 120 acres of private patta land. Bhavani Kattalai Hydroelectric Project is a hydropower generation project in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is a 90MW power generation project constructed across the Kaveri River. Namakkal District is one of the 38 districts (an districts of Tamil Nadu, administrative district) in the States and territories of India, state of Tamil Nadu, India.
