Catí
Catí is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of Alt Maestrat, Castellón, Valencia, Spain. The municipality of Catí limits with the following municipal terms: Ares del Maestrat, Morella, Chert, Tírig, La Salzadella, Sant Mateu and Albocàsser all of them located in the province of Castellón. Geography Catí is situated at above sea level, in the midst of a broad valley which is called "Catí Corridor" in the Alt Maestrat region. Geographically this area marks the boundary between the Ports region to which Catí belonged historically, and the Baix Maestrat, the centre of the mountainous area that connects El Ports of Morella with the Maestrat mountains, like Serra de Vallivana, Serra d'En Celler, Tossal de la Nevera and Tossal de la Barbuda. Serra D'En Celler
Serra d'En Celler is a mountain range of the Valencian Community, Spain. Its main peaks are 1,281 m high Tossal de la Nevera and Tossal d'Orenga (1,144 m). Geography The heights of the Serra d'En Celler range are frequently covered with snow every winter and ''Tossal de la Nevera'', its highest peak, is named after an ice pit ''(nevera)'', where snow was gathered for local use in former times. This mountain range is located within the Ares del Maestrat and Catí municipal terms, in a relatively uninhabited area. The easiest route to reach it is from Catí or Albocàsser. Tossal d'Orenga is a popular mountain among those who do paragliding in the region. Province Of Castellón
Castellón (); co-officially in ) is a province in the northern part of the Valencian Community. It is bordered by the provinces of Valencia to the south, Teruel to the west, Tarragona to the north, and by the Mediterranean Sea to the east. The western side of the province is in the mountainous Sistema Ibérico area. Geography Castellón's capital is Castellón de la Plana. The province had a population of 579,962 at the start of 2019, 30% of whom were residing in the capital, 60% in its metropolitan area, and 85% along the coastline. Ares Del Maestrat
Ares del Maestrat, also known as ''Ares del Maestre'' in Spanish or simply Ares, is a municipality in the province of Castelló in the Valencian Country. It is situated near the top of the Mola d'Ares mountain, at an elevation of 1,148 m. As a result of migration to the cities in the 1960s and 1970s, Ares del Maestre is sparsely populated today, yet remains a popular tourist destination. Serra De Vallivana
Serra de Vallivana (, ) or Muntanyes de Vallivana is an over long mountain range straddling the Alt Maestrat and Baix Maestrat comarcas, Valencian Community, Spain. Geography The highest point of the range is the 1,275 m high Muixacre, located close to the Port de Querol mountain pass in the N-232 road. Other important peaks are ''Montserrat'' and ''Talaió''. These mountains are frequently covered in snow in the winter. This mountain chain rises between the almost abandoned village of Vallivana and the top of the Maestrat mountains, south of the Serra del Turmell and west of the Serra de l'Espadella ranges. Maestrat
The Maestrazgo () or Maestrat () is a natural region, natural and historical region, historical mountainous region, located at the eastern end of the Sistema Ibérico mountain range, in Spain. It encompasses the north of the Autonomous communities of Spain, Autonomous Community of Valencian Community, Valencia, in Castellón (province), Castellón province, and parts of the east of the Aragonese province of Teruel (province), Teruel. The area is mountainous and sparsely populated with a rich mixture of flora and fauna.
