Catlateral Damage
''Catlateral Damage'' is a first-person video game in which the player plays as a cat. The goal of the game is to knock as many of the player character's owner's belongings onto the floor as possible.
The Official Catlateral Damage website.
There are game modes in which the player can either race against the clock and get a certain number of items onto the floor as fast as they can, score as many points in a 2-minute time-frame, or a free play mode where there is no clock and there are no points.

Development

The original version of ''Catlateral Damage'' was created for the August 2013 ''7DFPS'' game jam. Development for a full release began in September 2013.

Linux Games
Linux gaming refers to playing video games on a Linux operating system. History Linux gaming started largely as an extension of the already present Unix gaming scene, with both systems sharing many similar titles. These games were either mostly original or clones of arcade games and text adventures. A notable example of this are the "BSD Games", a collection of interactive fiction and other text-mode titles. The free software and open source methodologies which spawned the development of the operating system in general also spawned the creation of various early free games. Popular early titles included ''NetHack, Netrek, XBill, XEvil, xbattle, Xconq'' and ''XPilot''. As the operating system itself grew and expanded, the amount of free and open-source games also increased in scale and complexity. 1990–1998 The beginning of Linux as a gaming platform for commercial video games is widely credited to have begun in 1994 when Dave D. Taylor ported the game ''Doom'' to Linux ...

Game Jam Video Games
A game is a structured form of play, usually undertaken for entertainment or fun, and sometimes used as an educational tool. Many games are also considered to be work (such as professional players of spectator sports or games) or art (such as jigsaw puzzles or games involving an artistic layout such as Mahjong, solitaire, or some video games). Games are sometimes played purely for enjoyment, sometimes for achievement or reward as well. They can be played alone, in teams, or online; by amateurs or by professionals. The players may have an audience of non-players, such as when people are entertained by watching a chess championship. On the other hand, players in a game may constitute their own audience as they take their turn to play. Often, part of the entertainment for children playing a game is deciding who is part of their audience and who is a player. A toy and a game are not the same. Toys generally allow for unrestricted play whereas games come with present rules. ...

Biological Simulation Video Games
Biology is the scientific study of life. It is a natural science with a broad scope but has several unifying themes that tie it together as a single, coherent field. For instance, all organisms are made up of cells that process hereditary information encoded in genes, which can be transmitted to future generations. Another major theme is evolution, which explains the unity and diversity of life. Energy processing is also important to life as it allows organisms to move, grow, and reproduce. Finally, all organisms are able to regulate their own internal environments. Biologists are able to study life at multiple levels of organization, from the molecular biology of a cell to the anatomy and physiology of plants and animals, and evolution of populations.Based on definition from: Hence, there are multiple subdisciplines within biology, each defined by the nature of their research questions and the tools that they use. VG247
''VG247'' is a video game blog published in the United Kingdom, founded in February 2008 by industry veteran Patrick Garratt. In 2009, CNET ranked it as the third best gaming blog in the world. History Founded in collaboration on 1 February 2008 between games journalist Patrick Garratt and Eurogamer Network, ''VG247'' was set up to be a news-only blog, the first of its kind in the UK to have a specialist games blog found among the likes of American sites ''Kotaku'' and ''Joystiq''. At launch, ''VG247'' did not review video games and focused instead on news, interviews, and previews. Garratt was the only staff member at the time of launch, although grew in time with the addition of contributors Mike Bowden and Nathan Grayson. In early 2009, the site relaunched itself, rebranding from ''videogaming247.com'' to ''VG247''; at the same time the site changed its primary url to ''www.vg247.com'', and launched a new site design, with improved features, and staff. The site added additi ...

Joystiq
''Joystiq'' was a video gaming blog founded in June 2004 as part of the Weblogs, Inc. family of weblogs, now owned by AOL. It was AOL's primary video game blog, with sister blogs dealing with MMORPG gaming in general and the popular MMORPG ''World of Warcraft'' in particular. After declining readership, it was announced that ''Joystiq'' would be shut down on February 3, 2015, as part of moves to downsize AOL's operations by shuttering its "underperforming" properties. History Predecessors As of early 2004, Weblogs, Inc. was seeking to add a blog to its repertoire for the sole purpose of covering news related to video games, as evidenced by the now-defunct ''The Video Games Weblog'', founded February 27, 2004. On March 12, Weblogs, Inc. CEO Jason Calacanis announced two spinoff projects: ''The Unofficial Playstation 3 Weblog'' and ''The Unofficial Xbox 2'', both of which are now similarly retired, though they would set a precedent for the launching of Joystiq's Fanboy blogs ...
