Cathryn Michon is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker, actress, writer, blogger and stand-up comic. She has been featured at the Montreal Comedy Festival, the Toyota Comedy Festival and the Marshall’s Women in Comedy Festival. Career Her touring stand-up performance ''The Grrl Genius Club'', as well as a subsequent novel sharing the same name, ''The Grrl Genius Guide to Life'' (HarperCollins, July 2001), lead to a television hosting stint on AMC's similarly titled ''Grrl Genius at the Movies'' and a second novel entry titled ''The Grrl Genius Guide to Sex with Other People'' (St. Martin's Press, January 2004), all garnering positive receptions nationwide. A Dog's Purpose (film)
''A Dog's Purpose'' is a 2017 American Psychological fiction, psychological comedy-drama adventure film, adventure film directed by Lasse Hallström and written by W. Bruce Cameron, Cathryn Michon, Audrey Wells, Maya Forbes, and Wallace Wolodarsky, Wally Wolodarsky, based on the A Dog's Purpose, 2010 novel of the same name by W. Bruce Cameron. The film stars Britt Robertson, KJ Apa, Juliet Rylance, John Ortiz, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Peggy Lipton, Dennis Quaid, and Josh Gad. The Comedy Festival, formerly known as the US Comedy Arts Festival, was a comedy festival that ran from 1995 to 2008. The festival included stand-up comedy performances, appearances by the casts of television shows, and has a film component called the Film Discovery Program.
