Cathryn Humphris
Cathryn Humphris is an American television writer. She has worked on the AMC drama ''Mad Men'' and has won a Writers Guild of America (WGA) Award. Biography Humphris worked as a production assistant and a writer's assistant on '' Once and Again'' in 1999. She began writing for television for the series '' Supernatural'' in 2006. She co-wrote the first-season episode "Dead Man's Blood" with co-executive producer John Shiban. She returned as a writer for the second season and wrote the episodes "The Usual Suspects" and "Born Under a Bad Sign". She continued to write for the third season and wrote the episode "Bedtime Stories" and wrote the teleplay and co-wrote the story (with Sera Gamble) for the episode "Dream a Little Dream of Me". She became a story editor for the fourth season in 2008 and wrote the episodes "Metamorphosis" and "Sex and Violence". Martha Mills Noxon (born August 25, 1964) is an American television and film writer, director, and producer. She is best known for her work as a screenwriter and executive producer on the supernatural drama series ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' (1997–2003). She was also executive producer, writer, and creator of the Bravo comedy-drama series ''Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce'' (2015–18) and the Lifetime drama series ''UnREAL'' (2015–18). She was an executive producer of the CBS medical drama series '' Code Black'' (2015–17). Noxon also wrote the science fiction action film ''I Am Number Four'' (2011), the horror thriller film ''Fright Night'' (2011), and the biographical drama film ''The Glass Castle'' (2017). ''The Hot Zone'' is an American anthology drama television series, based on the 1994 non-fiction book of the same name by Richard Preston and airing on National Geographic. The first season, consisting of six episodes, aired from May 27 to May 29, 2019, and was intended as a miniseries. Largely set in 1989, it follows U.S. Army scientist Nancy Jaax who is confronted the possibility of a potentially deadly outbreak of Ebola. Jaax, a veterinary pathologist, first identifies the ebolavirus after it appears in monkeys in a Primate Quarantine Facility in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. The season was positively reviewed, and renewed for a second season. The second season, titled ''The Hot Zone: Anthrax'', focuses on the 2001 anthrax attacks, just weeks after September 11.
