Catherine Dubois
Catherine Dubois (born July 29, 1995) is a Canadian ice hockey Forward (ice hockey), forward, signed with the Montreal Force of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). She was the first Montreal Carabins women's ice hockey, Montréal Carabins player to be invited to a senior Canada women's national ice hockey team, Canadian national team camp. Career Dubois played on boy's teams until the age of 15. In Cégep, she played for the Cégep Limoilou, Cégep Limoilou Titans, where she won a scholarship from the Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence du Québec for being a potential Olympic athlete. After graduating, she studied at the Université de Montréal, playing for the school's Montreal Carabins women's ice hockey program, turning down multiple offers from NCAA programs. Montreal Force
The Montreal Force (french: la Force de Montréal) are a professional ice hockey team in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). They are based in Montreal, Quebec and practice at the Verdun Auditorium. The team was established in 2022 and debuted in the 2022–23 PHF season. History Montreal was long planned as a location for a PHF expansion franchise, but uncertainties due to the then-ongoing COVID-19 pandemic led the league to delay such plans. An expansion franchise was announced by the league in July 2022, with the owners announced as BTM Partners, which also owns three other PHF teams. Concordia Stingers Women's Ice Hockey
The Concordia Stingers women's ice hockey program represents Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec in the sport of ice hockey in the RSEQ conference of U Sports. The Stingers have won three national championships, in 1998, 1999, and 2022, and 19 conference championships. History The Concordia Stingers women's ice hockey team earned varsity status in 1975, ensuring that they received financial support from the university. After playing for the Providence Friars women's ice hockey program and without any NCAA eligibility remaining, Cammi Granato moved to Montreal to earn her master's degree in sports administration at Concordia University. QMJHL
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (french: Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec; abbreviated ''QMJHL'' in English, ''LHJMQ'' in French) is one of the three major junior ice hockey leagues that constitute the Canadian Hockey League. The league includes teams in the provinces of Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. The current president of the QMJHL is Gilles Courteau. Granby Bisons
The Granby Bisons were a Canadian junior ice hockey team based in Granby, Quebec, and played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). They team was founded in 1981 in after the team moved from Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, where they had previously been known as the Sorel Éperviers. The Bisons played at Arena Leonard Grondin in Granby. Ice hockey at the 2017 Winter Universiade was held from January 28 through February 8 at Halyk Arena (men's matches) and Baluan Sholak Sports Palace (women's matches) in Almaty. The selection of participating teams - 12 in the men's tournament and seven in the women's tournament, including the hosting Kazakhstan sides in both cases - was announced on July 25, 2016 while the draw to place the teams into their assigned pools took place on September 18, 2016. Venues Men Preliminary round Twelve participating teams were placed in the following three groups. After playing a round-robin within the group, the teams ranked 1st through 8th overall advanced to the quarterfinals.
