Caml (originally an acronym for Categorical Abstract Machine Language) is a multi-paradigm programming language, multi-paradigm, general-purpose programming language which is a dialect of the ML (programming language), ML programming language family. Caml was developed in France at INRIA and École Normale Supérieure, ENS. Caml is statically type system, typed, eager evaluation, strictly evaluated, and uses automatic memory management. OCaml, the main descendant of Caml, adds many features to the language, including an object-oriented programming, object layer. Examples In the following, represents the Caml prompt. Haar Wavelet
In mathematics, the Haar wavelet is a sequence of rescaled "square-shaped" functions which together form a wavelet family or basis. Wavelet analysis is similar to Fourier analysis in that it allows a target function over an interval to be represented in terms of an orthonormal basis. In mathematics and computer science, currying is the technique of translating the evaluation of a function that takes multiple arguments into evaluating a sequence of functions, each with a single argument. In computer science, pattern matching is the act of checking a given sequence of tokens for the presence of the constituents of some pattern. In computer science, garbage collection (GC) is a form of automatic memory management. In a programming language, an evaluation strategy is a set of rules for evaluating expressions.
