''Catch Us If You Can'' is an Australian game and prank television series which ran for 30 episodes on the Seven Network in 1981. It consisted of games for members of the studio audience and pre-recorded pranks, modelled after ''Candid Camera''. The pranks were usually on unsuspecting members of the public but occasionally on celebrities. It was produced by Peter Luck and hosted in the studio by Bryan Davies. The Seven Network (commonly known as Channel Seven or simply Seven) is a major Australian commercial free-to-air Television broadcasting in Australia, television network. Candid Camera
''Candid Camera'' is a popular and long-running American hidden camera reality television series. Versions of the show appeared on television from 1948 until 2014. Originally created and produced by Allen Funt, it often featured practical jokes, and initially began on radio as ''The Candid Microphone'' on June 28, 1947. After a series of theatrical film shorts, also titled ''Candid Microphone'', Funt's concept came to television on August 10, 1948, and continued into the 1970s. Aside from occasional specials in the 1980s, the show was off air until 1991, when Funt reluctantly authorized a syndicated revival with Dom DeLuise as host and Vin Di Bona producing; it ran for one year. Peter Anthony Luck (5 January 1944 – 6 September 2017) was an Australian author, TV journalist, producer and presenter. Bryan Davies (singer)
Bryan Davies (born 4 July 1944) is a British-born Australian pop music singer and entertainer. He appeared on 1960s TV pop shows, ''Sing! Sing! Sing!'' and ''Bandstand''. From March 1962, at age 17, he became the youngest person in Australia to host their own TV show, '' The Bryan Davies Show''. The singer issued two albums, ''On My Way'' (1965) and ''Together by Myself'' (1968). His most popular singles were, "Dream Girl" (July 1961) and " Five Foot Two Eyes of Blue" (October), which both reached the top 4 on the Sydney charts. Edith Bliss (28 September 1959 – 3 May 2012) was an Australian singer and television presenter.Atterton, Margot. (Ed.)
