Catalina Pérez Jaramillo (born 8 November 1994) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Frauen-Bundesliga club Werder Bremen and the Colombia women's national team. Early life Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Pérez moved to Boca Raton, Florida as a young child and started playing soccer when she was eight years old. She played her entire youth career at Team Boca Soccer Club and attended the University of Miami. Club career Pérez is a former player of United Women's Soccer club New England Mutiny. She also played for the Team Boca Blast of the WPSL. At the beginning of 2020, she moved to Italy to compete in Serie A as a member of Fiorentina; however, she did not play any matches due to her suspension because of the coronavirus disease pandemic. Società Sportiva Dilettantistica Napoli Femminile, known as Napoli Femminile or simply Napoli, is an Italian women's football club from Naples that competes in Serie A. The Women's football tournament at the 2019 Pan American Games was held in Lima during July and August 2019. Qualification A total of eight women's teams qualified to compete at the games, four CONMEBOL teams and four CONCACAF teams. For CONMEBOL, the three teams ranked third to fifth at the 2018 Copa América Femenina qualified, while Peru automatically qualified as hosts. For CONCACAF, the best team from each of the three zones (North American, Central American and Caribbean) at the 2018 CONCACAF Women's Championship qualified; however, both United States and Canada declined to participate to focus on the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, so Mexico qualified for the North American berth, while Costa Rica also qualified by decision of CONCACAF. The 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup was the seventh FIFA Women's World Cup, the quadrennial international soccer championship contested by the women's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The tournament was hosted by Canada for the first time and by a North American country for the third time. Matches were played in six cities across Canada in five time zones.
