Casualty (series 28)
The twenty-eighth series of ''Casualty'' began airing on BBC One on 3 August 2013, one week after the end of the previous series. This series consisted of 48 episodes, the highest episode order since series 24. The series concluded on 23 August 2014. This series saw the departures of Tom Kent (Oliver Coleman), Sam Nicholls (Charlotte Salt), Jamie Collier ( Daniel Anthony) and Adrian "Fletch" Fletcher (Alex Walkinshaw), and temporary departures of Zoe Hanna (Sunetra Sarker) and Kathleen "Dixie Dixon (Jane Hazlegrove). Crystal Yu
Crystal Yu is a Hong Kong-born television, film and stage actress. She played Lily Chao on the British BBC medical drama ''Casualty'' from 2013 to 2017. Life and career Yu, born in Hong Kong, came to London at the age of 11 when she was offered a place at the Elmhurst School of Dance and Performing Arts (formerly known as Elmhurst Ballet School). As well as acting in theatre, films and TV, she gives up her spare time to work closely with The Royal Academy of Dance and The Jack Petchey Foundation, bringing dance programmes to secondary schools, Special Educational Needs schools and Pupil Referral Units. ''Casualty'' is a British medical drama television series that premiered on 6 September 1986 on BBC1. The series was created by Jeremy Brock and Paul Unwin. It is set in the fictional Holby City Hospital, in the equally fictitious city of Holby, and features occasional crossovers of characters and plots with spin-off show ''Holby City''. Amanda Jane Mealing (born 22 April 1967) is an English actress, director and producer, known for portraying the role of Connie Beauchamp in the BBC medical dramas ''Holby City'' and ''Casualty''. Early life The only adopted member of her family, Mealing was the youngest of four children, with two sisters and an elder brother. She grew up in Dulwich, South London, with her adoption being a secret. Lofty Chiltern
Ben "Lofty" Chiltern is a fictional character from the BBC medical dramas ''Casualty'' and ''Holby City'', played by actor Lee Mead. He first appeared in ''Casualty'' twenty-eighth series episode "The Last Chance Saloon", broadcast on 1 March 2014. The character is introduced to fill the role of a young, male nurse. Richard Winsor (born 4 January 1982) is a British actor and dancer. He is best known for his role as Caleb Knight in the long-running BBC television medical drama series's ''Casualty'' from January 2014 until April 2017, when his character was killed off after being stabbed by a patient's relative. Caleb "Cal" Knight is a fictional character from the BBC medical drama ''Casualty'', played by actor Richard Winsor. George Rainsford (born 31 July 1982) is a British actor, best known for his portrayal of Jimmy Wilson in the medical drama ''Call the Midwife'' and Ethan Hardy in ''Casualty'', for which he has been nominated for a Best Actor award in the 2017 TV Choice Awards.
