The fourteenth series of the British medical drama television series ''Casualty'' commenced airing in the United Kingdom on BBC One on 18 September 1999 and finished on 25 March 2000. It saw another increase, this time to 30 episodes. Cast Overview The fourteenth series of ''Casualty'' features a cast of characters working in the emergency department of Holby City Hospital. The series begins with 13 roles receiving star billing, which is an increase from the previous series. Barbara Marten
Barbara Marten (born 3 January 1947) is a British actress. She is most known for playing Eve Montgomery in ''Casualty''. She has appeared in various soaps, including Eastenders and Brookside, as well as many other drama serials such as ''Harry'', ''The Bill'' and '' Band of Gold''. Early life Marten was born in Leeds, West Riding of Yorkshire, and grew up in County Durham. She went to an all-girls school ('William Newton School') in Norton, then Stockton and Billingham Technical College (which has since been demolished). She went to drama school at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art as a teenager for 3 years, and says that it actually put her off becoming an actress. Rebecca Wheatley
Rebecca Catherine Anne Wheatley (born 25 April 1965) is a British actress and musician. Wheatley grew up in Teddington, Middlesex, where she went to St Catherine's convent school, before gaining her BA in English literature from the University of Wales, Lampeter. She sang in “In the Smoke”, S5:E7 of ''Pie in the Sky'' (1997). Josh Griffiths (Casualty)
Josh Griffiths, played by actor Ian Bleasdale, is a fictional character from the BBC medical drama ''Casualty.'' The character first appears during the fourth season episode "Chain Reaction", which was broadcast on 8 September 1989. Josh is a paramedic who works for the fictitious " Holby Ambulance Service". Josh became one of the longest-serving characters during his time on the series. Ian Bleasdale (born 1950, in Upholland, Lancashire) is an English actor and television presenter. He divides his time between Haworth in West Yorkshire and Bristol.
