Castromocho
Castromocho is a municipality located in the province of Palencia, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality had a population of 258 inhabitants. The municipality borders Fuentes de Nava, Baquerín de Campos, Torremormojón, Villerías de Campos, Boada de Campos, Capillas, Villarramiel and Abarca de Campos. History The area dates back to Roman times and there is evidence presented in coins and other remains found in the municipality. Castromocho has a ruined fort or castle. After the expulsion of the Arabs from the kingdoms of Castile and León, Castromocho blossomed after the tenth century but it formally founded as a town in the late fifteenth century.
